ab fab ! - a friend of mine offered me this book a few years ago because of a painting I has seen in a magazine... and i felt in love with Olly&Suzi work... it is absolutely wonderful and touching in many ways.In any place, their vision of nature, the poetry of their art and all those amazing photographies are so refreshing and so awesome...I still can t take my eyes off this book and I think that it is a MUST HAVE for any person in the world who cares about nature, humanity and beauty...God save Olly & Suzi..... You re the best artists ever.... you re MY personal heroes...
Great adventures - This book is the ultimate coffee table book. It has really interesting art, great photography, wonderful wildlife and Olly and Suzi s descriptions of their adventures make excellent short stories. A very inspiring book.
Animal Magic! - This book has been put together by two young, talented collaborative artists who are clearly passionate about their subject matter - the natural world. It is packed with fantastic art and photography of animals in their natural environments often interacting with the art itself. The photograph that sticks in my mind is that of the head of a great white shark emerging from the waves to take an enormous bite out of a painting ( who needs formaldehyde!). Why a 5 star rating? - apart from the images, the book is actually a very good read as well, which is pretty rare in the art book arena. Indeed, it is one of the most honest and intimate insights into how an artist produces work I have read and does a good job in getting the reader to understand the challenges of painting in the arctic, for example (you have to warm the paint beforehand!!!). Arctic, Desert, Ocean, Jungle is a must buy if you:1) love art produced by artists who are honest, passionate and skilled2) are facinated by the animals with whom we share the planet3) want to be carried to corners of the world that few of us will ever have the opportunity to see first-hand4) want to be reminded why we should turn the TV off and get out more!
